Beyond Manoa Multi-Waterfall Hike
Venture out into the wild! Although this hike is just a few minutes from downtown Honolulu, you will feel you are a world away when you enter the lush rainforest and hike the shaded trail that leads to the 200-foot tall Manoa Falls, Oahu's tallest waterfall. Snuggled into the majestic Koolau Mountain Range, this scenic hike is a favorite with visitors and locals alike, and many find it is the perfect trip on which to take even small children.
As you hike the well-worn path next to a small stream, you will see lush tropical plants, pools, gigantic trees and you'll feel as if you've stepped into a scene from Jurassic Park. Enjoy a chorus of pleasant birdsong as you stroll on a portion of the trail that passes through a mystical bamboo forest. |
Your guide will inform you about the endemic and introduced plants species found in these islands, and you will have the opportunity to ask any questions.
After less than an hour of leisurely hiking, you will see Moana Falls come into view. Boulders of all sizes ring the small pool at the bottom of the falls, and luxuriant vegetation frames the perfect scene of a tropical waterfall.
Then it's off to 2 other spectacular waterfalls - Kapena and Waikahalulu Falls - on this half-day adventure to Honolulu's urban waterfalls.
This is a great hiking adventure you don't want to miss!
