Each year humpback whales make their migration from Alaska to Hawaii, adding to Hawaii's already abundant marine life. Indulge in the fascination of these gentle sea giants aboard the Hulakai, a "Fair Wind" Whale Watching Cruise, where guests not only view the humpback whales, but learn fascinating whale facts and even listen to their underwater song with a special hydrophone system.
Guests enjoy a scenic coastal cruise while the naturalist, Jonathan Opey, shares his knowledge through lectures, visuals, and firsthand commentary. During the three-hour expedition, learn about the history and development of the humpback whales and about Hawaii's ancient connection to these gentle underwater giants through the Hawaiian kumulipo (creation chants). |
Opey will also interpret the humpback whale's behavior in the warm waters of Hawaii, where they mate and give birth.
Fresh organic fruits, gourmet potato chips, and tropical juice are included. The bar is open throughout the cruise.
