Niihau and Lehua Rock Dive
Imagine the thrill of diving just off a private island where no outsider may tread. Niihau, Hawaii's protected and "hidden" island. Pristine in its beauty because it is a place time has forgot. Descend into the labyrinth created by the ancient skeleton of a volcano long buried by the forgetfully sea.
This is Virgin Diving at it's very best! Due to Niihau's remoteness and the law preventing travel to the island, you cannot expect more from a dive than this! Niihau - The Forbidden Island - offers divers seeking a truly uncommon underwater experience that's world class. Niihau's pristine dive sites showcase the best of Hawaii's in one of it's most remote locations.
View Monk Seals, huge pacific octopuses, large schools of Hawaiian reef fish, lobsters, rays, turtles, dolphins, sharks and Humpback whales (in season). Dive depths are 15 -130 feet with vertical walls, lava tubes and tunnels. Visibility is excellent, often in excess of 100 feet. The dives are held in the calm summer season of May-Sept when the Tradewind speed is no higher than 10-20 knots. |
This world-class tour features 3 tanks and 3 sites. The sites are carefully selected by the experienced Dive Kauai team giving you access to the best sites with the best conditions.
Between dive sites, sit and relax, enjoying the tropical sun and watch for whales or dolphins breaking the surface. Lively discussions about the marine life encountered during the previous dive site are the norm. This is also a great time to raid the snack bar!

Activity Highlights:- Light snacks, bottled water with an assortment of beverages are included.
- All tours are guided by a PADI Divemaster/Instructor.
- They do take specific requests for dive sites
- Tank and weights are included in the tour and additional equipment is available as an option.
- Additional Equipment includes: wetsuit, regulator, BCD and dive computer
- Computers are available upon request.
- Personal Gear Package includes: mask with snorkel, fins and booties

Restrictions: - Advanced certified/experienced divers ONLY!
- Dives only available from May to September and only if ocean conditions allow.
- Length of dive depends on depths and rate of consumption. We offer computer diving with times of 40-55 minutes first dive and 55-60 min 2nd dive.
- You must return to the surface before you reach 500PSI.

- Sometimes a doctor's note may be required before you can participate in a diving activity. Please list any medications that you or those in your party are currently taking, and we can determine if you will be eligible to join the dive.

The departure place for dive tours meets at various locations, depending on where you are staying, season, ocean and wind conditions, etc. After your arrival on Kauai, you will be contacted by the dive shop with details about local conditions, meeting place and the schedule. |
