The Park Find out why the Polynesian Cultural Center is one of Oahu's favorite visitors attractions. This amazing park is spread out over 42 acres and features the richness of the Polynesian culture. Among the main attractions are the seven Polynesian villages that show the traditional island life of Tonga, Tahiti, the Marquesas, Fiji, New Zealand (Aotearoa), Samoa and Hawaii. As you explore the park, you'll learn more about the traditions, lifestyles, music, dance and hospitality of Polynesia. You'll see native islanders carving tiki statues, dancing with fire knives, making fire by rubbing sticks together and climbing up four-story palm trees barefooted. Take your time visiting all the villages or hop aboard a canoe for a leisurely ride down the river that runs through the Center. But there's so much more to see and explore: The Pageant of Long Canoes Mid-afternoon marks the beginning of the fantastic Pageant of the Long Canoes, where you'll see Polynesian dancers showcase their native costumes and dances on big floating platforms in the park's central lagoon. The IMAX Movie You might also want to check out the park's state-of-the-art IMAX Theater to watch the spectacular Coral Reef Adventure movie, shown on a gigantic screen measuring 65 feet high (19.8 m) and 93 feet wide (28.4 m). The movie features the real-life expeditions of renowned underwater filmmakers Howard and Michele Hall in Fiji, Tahiti, Australia's Great Barrier Reef and 200 miles east in the coral atoll lagoon of Rangiroa, French Polynesia. The movie will immerse you in another world. You'll dive with the Hall's to mysterious deep reefs, swim with grey reef sharks, zoom through coral canyons and ride a fast current beneath a breaking wave. Tram Tour of Laie While touring the park, you can also venture out into the neighboring town of Laie, the home of the first temple built outside of the mainland United States by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This "Taj Mahal of the Pacific" is striking in its architecture and was dedicated in 1919 to serve Mormons throughout the Pacific. You can take a free tram ride from the Center that runs every 20 minutes from 1:00 to 6:40 p.m. During the ride, you'll learn about the history and the people of Laie. At the temple, you can enjoy a stroll in the beautiful gardens and check out the Visitor's Center, which features a 10-feet marble replica of Thorvaldsens well-know statue Christus.
The Luau After a long day of exploring the Center, youll be hungry and ready for participating in a luau - one of the most Hawaiian experiences you can have. The Polynesian Cultural Center is home of Hawaii's most authentic luau, a traditional Hawaiian-style feast with entertainment. The Alii Luau begins at 5:30 p.m. at a secluded site with a tropical 15-foot tall waterfall. As you enter, you'll be greeted with a flower lei. Later, youll witness the traditional imu ceremony, in which the roast kalua pig is raised from an underground oven. Then the Alii Court arrives, complete with the fanfare from conch shell trumpets. These performers will entertain you as you dig into a feast that's guaranteed to satisfy any appetite. The luau buffet table is set with all kinds of delicacies, from typical Hawaiian foods, such as kalua pig, lomi lomi salmon, haupia (coconut pudding) and poi, to standard American dishes, such as rice, chicken and vegetables. The Show After the luau feast, a very special treat is awaiting you. You'll get to see the fabulous Horizons Polynesian Revue, one of the largest Polynesian shows in the world featuring a cast of more than 100 native performers from all over the Pacific. They will perform the songs, dances and showcase their costumes that make their cultures unique. The rhythmic melodies and the beating of the drums will touch your heart and the breathtaking Samoan fire-knife dance will captivate you and take you back in time.
Ambassador VIP Package: With the Ambassador VIP package, you'll enjoy a guided tour through the Polynesian Cultural Center. You'll experience the fabulous Pageant of the Long Canoes, the IMAX movie, the tram tour of Laie town and a canoe ride. For dinner, you'll be seated at the Ambassador Restaurant, where you'll feast on succulent prime rib, shrimp cocktail, crab legs and many other delicious foods. Regular Transportation is via a large tour bus, with pick ups at the major Waikiki hotels. Deluxe Transportation includes curbside pick-up from anywhere in Waikiki (not just select hotels), and is via luxury mini-coach.

Restrictions:
PCC is closed on Sundays, Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.
All major areas of PCC are accessible to those in wheelchairs, including the Laie Temple Visitors Center. Folding wheelchairs can be easily stowed in the storage area of any motor coach. Motor coaches are the default form of transportation to PCC. Collapsible wheelchairs must be folded and stowed in the luggage compartment of the motor coach. Wheelchair must be safe and in good repair with an effective braking system.
Other information about Wheelchairs:
PCC provides guests a limited number of collapsible wheelchairs. There is a $20 deposit and rental fee, $15 of which will be refunded when the wheelchair is returned undamaged. If a guest wishes to use one of PCC's wheelchairs, please make a note of this in the reservations (the credit card page has an area for "Requests"). The deposit for rental of a wheelchair must be paid at entrance to PCC.
In instances when guests would like to bring their own rigid (non-collapsible) or motorized wheelchairs on the bus, they must note this in their reservation. Please also note the type of wheelchair (folding, motorized).

Driving Directions

The Polynesian Cultural Center is located in La'ie, on Oahu's northeastern coast. It's just a 35-mile scenic drive from Waikiki. Along the way, you can enjoy plenty of picturesque views as the road winds through the rainforest and along gorgeous beaches. The Center is located at 55-370 Kamehameha Highway in La'ie.

From Waikiki, take the H-1 freeway west until reaching the Likelike Highway (63). Exit H-1 onto the Likelike Highway (toward the mountains) and stay on the Likelike until passing through the tunnel and emerging on the windward (eastern) side of the island. Exit Likelike and take Kahekili Highway (83) north until arriving in La'ie (Hint: the Kahekili Highway becomes the Kamehameha Highway after Kaneohe).

You'll see the Polynesian Cultural Center on your left (toward the mountains) after arriving in La'ie. It is located next to Brigham Young University and the Hawaiian Temple. On the way to La'ie, you'll pass interesting sights, such as Kualoa Ranch and Chinaman's Hat, a small offshore island.

Parking is $5 per vehicle.
