Afternoon Snorkel & Dolphin Sail
Go aboard the Body Glove and let Kona's finest and most experienced crew take you on a cruise filled with oceans of adventure and fun! From the moment you set sail, you'll appreciate the comfort and stability of this 51-foot vessel.
Hawaii's waters are among the richest in the world, and Body Glove Cruises know just where to find the finest snorkeling and scuba diving along the beautiful Kona Coast. See thousands of brilliantly colored tropical fish, endangered sea turtles and wild dolphins that live in and around the gorgeous coral reef gardens at Pawai Bay, a protected marine preserve.
Choose between two afternoon sailings – the Regular Sail and the Deluxe Sail. The Regular Sail is offered year round, from 2-5 PM, and includes light refreshments and snacks. The Deluxe Sail is only offered seasonally, from June 1st to August 31st, from 1-5 PM, and includes a buffet deli lunch, snacks and Mai Tai drinks on the return trip.
From the beautiful port of Kailua-Kona, you will sail along the Kona coast – a great time to get out your camera and catch the breath-taking scenery of the leeward coastline and watch for dolphins frolicking in the brilliant sapphire waters. Just before your arrival at Pawai Bay, the knowledgeable crew will provide you with top-notch masks, fins and snorkels. Prescription masks are also available as are personalized snorkeling instructions. |
Explore Hawaii's wildlife at its best; make friends with a sea turtle or soar with a manta ray. Pawai Bay is great for the experienced certified diver as well as the beginner. The whole family will love the 15-foot waterslide, and the high-dive platform makes a big "splash" with the kids as well as kids at heart. An assortment of flotation devices awaits you, including boogie boards, inner tubes, sea-view boxes, life preservers and more!
The "Ship's Store" offers a full service premium bar (no-host), sunscreen, film, underwater cameras, binoculars, T-shirts, hats, and customized underwater VHS videos. The crew includes a U.S. Coast Guard licensed captain, first mate, licensed bartender and deck hands - all trained in first aid and C.P.R.
The Body Glove is wheelchair accessible and features the latest in safety equipment, a spacious upper sundeck, a large shaded cabin, fresh water showers and his and hers restrooms. |

This cruise was thoroughly enjoyable. We had a nice cruise around the Kona coast, then headed to Pawai Bay. The crew was so friendly and helpful, offering helpful advice and getting us setup with the right Rx masks. Wow, Pawai Bay is so beautiful! From the boat, the water was so translucent-blue and inviting, and when I jumped in, it was just unreal – the water was so crystal clear I could see right down to the bottom - 50 feet in the deepest area. Nearby was a reef, depths of 5-10 feet, and there were so many amazing fish like Moorish Idols, puffer fish, wrasse, parrot fish, angel fish, butterfly fish and so many more that I had never seen before. I swam with a group of spotted eagle rays and also saw a large moray eel that seemed to enjoy having his photo taken. An underwater camera is a must here!
My husband, who doesn’t like to swim, was even motivated by the beauty of the place to don a life vest and he jumped in the water too. The crew was great and discreetly made sure he was safe and confident in the water. Our son took off like a fish and tried out everything there was to do on and off the boat, his favorite being the 2 story water slide. The only complaint I could have with this cruise was that it was too short, time went by too fast. My son’s only complaint was to me and papa that we didn’t take him back on the snorkel tour each day we were on the Big Island! We will definitely go on this cruise again in the future. |
