Alii Kai Buffet Dinner Cruise
Enjoy a great two-hour dinner cruise on the Alii Kai, "Ruler of the Sea", the world's largest Polynesian catamaran! After stepping aboard, you'll feel the excitement build as the ship departs the harbor and the live band starts to play contemporary island favorites.
You'll have time to explore the ship and enjoy the amazing view of the sun setting on the horizon, painting the sea and sky in a rainbow of colors. Take some fantastic photos, relax and breathe in the soft ocean breeze. Soon, the aromas from the fabulous buffet will announce the start of the buffet dinner offered on the main deck.
The menu includes a delicious assortment of fresh nalo greens with a choice of dressings, spaghetti with sun dried tomatoes, carved roast sirloin of beef with Cabernet sauce and creamy horseradish sauce, grilled chicken with shoyu ginger glaze garnished with oriental vegetables, sauteed island mahi-mahi (fish) with macadamia nut butter sauce garnished with spring vegetables, pasta with choice of marinara or pesto cream sauce, mashed potatoes, steamed rice, sweet rolls with butter, sliced tropical fruits, and a selection of assorted desserts. Beverages include Kona coffee, tea, water, soft drinks and one complimentary cocktail per person. |
After your meal, you'll watch a live Polynesian show featuring the island spirit. If you want, you can participate in games and dancing with the crew or enjoy a cocktail. By night's end, you'll be a part of the Alii Kai ohana (family). |

The Alii Kai departs from Pier 5 at the Aloha Tower. From Waikiki, head west on Ala Wai Boulevard. Turn left at Niu Street and go for 0.1 mile. Bear left at Ala Moana Boulevard and go for 2.7 miles. Take the left exit to Piers 4-11. |

A memorable evening aboard the Alii Kai

We had a memorable evening aboard the Alii Kai. We were picked up from our hotel and drove to Pier 5 where a hula dancer welcomed us as, we stepped into the ship.
The views from the upper deck were really stunning. Diamond Head and Waikiki Beach were gorgeous as always. As we got under way, we started in on the buffet dinner. The food was good, especially the mahi mahi, grilled chicken and the pasta salad. Our buffet package included a free cocktail drink as well. The best mai tai was the best. My wife had a pina-colada which she liked so much that she ordered a second one. There was live music entertaining us all the evening. The singer had an excellent voice and performed soft rock-style songs and old favorites that made us return 20 years ago in our memories.
We would recommend this cruise to everyone who wants to spend a casual and entertaining evening aboard the Alii Kai. |
