Have a Lava, Lookey Loo

60 minutes of incredible beauty and desolation! What a contrast! Maybe no where else in the world could you fly over rain forests and desolate lava flats and see golden lava flowing in the earthquake, created, cracks and ravines below. Smoke filling an active volcano curls hundreds of feet into the sky from a near-perfect circular crater rim! Steam pouring up into the sky along the bare, hardened lava beach head! Red to golden lava bubbling into the surf! A bed and breakfast located in the middle of no where with no way to get there but by helicopter. Then the return to base! Waterfall after waterfall with blue pools to beckon you to return. No one should have as much fun as this! And all for the price of a Lakers ticket in the back row of the Staples Center! Definitely, the ultimate red-hot deal! |

Nothing beats a helicopter flight for pure "wow" scenery.

This is definitely worth the money. My wife and I spent 5 days on the Big Island and the day we took the helicoptor tour was certainly the best. It is easy to think that the cost of the ride is not worth the trip, but 10 years from now, the memories that will be the clearest will be your ride in the helicopter. There is no better way to do it. |

A smooth and easy ride for us despite the fact that we were a bit nervous

Our pilot was excellent. He made it a smooth and easy ride for us despite the fact that we were a bit nervous. You have a microphone to ask him questions, if you have any. On my trip, none of us asked a darn thing because we sat in awed silence the entire time. Light music comes through the earphones while you fly, and you can switch the station to hear the air traffic controllers and pilots communicate as you depart and arrive. What you see and how you see it while in the air is not even describable, so I won’t try. Let me just say that it is unforgettable. |
