Bike & Hike Diamond Head Guided Tour
On this fun guided bike and hike tour, you'll first take a leisurely bike ride along Waikiki's Gold Coast taking in panoramic ocean views from the Diamond Head Cliff Road, a favorite street among bike riders and joggers. Then you and your guide will ride up and enter through the side of Diamond Head Crater.
Next, hike up to the crater's rim through secret World War II tunnels. Spectacular views of all Waikiki and the bright blue Pacific Ocean await you. Don't forget to bring your camera!
After taking in the beautiful scenery, ride back down into town and enjoy a complimentary lunch at Lu Lu's Restaurant. The entire ride lasts from 2- 3 hours, depending on how fast you ride or how leisurely you wish to make the trip. |

Felt like we were having a private tour. The bike ride was great! Jade felt like an old friend showing us around. He's awesome! The hike was intense since the temperature was up. Highly recommended! |

No better way to explore Diamondhead!

This review is indented to rate the experience of the bike tour rather than Diamond Head State Monument. Consult a guide book for reviews on Diamond Head.
This was the most fun I had on the island of Oahu that didn’t involve a beverage served in a coconut. I can’t think of a better way to explore Diamond Head crater.
What made my experience so amazing was the effort that our guide put forth to make sure that everyone had a good time. The guide was extremely personable and willing to dish on all aspects of Hawaiian life. He provided personalized tips and suggestions for what to do with our time on the island, and he was more than willing to take pictures of our group. The small group size made it easy to feel like we were just hanging out with local friends.
After picking us up at our hotel, the tour took us on standard hybrid-style bikes following the coastline from Waikiki to the entrance of Diamond Head State Park. Make no mistake, the trip has some challenges! However, the average person will be able to make this trip with out too much difficulty. Be sure you bring some water with your camera because you will want a drink at some point. Our guide made sure that we stopped at a few times on the way up for some photos and great views. The trail to the summit of Diamond Head was all on foot. Consult your guide book or Hawaii state parks website for a description of what to expect at Diamond Head.
The ride back down was a breeze after the first part of our adventure. It was a quick ride around the back side of the crater and we were back to Waikiki before we knew it. We were certainly hungry for the included lunch at the end, which just added to an already amazing experience. Our guide was an amazing friend for a day and certainly earned his tip for making this a great experience. |
