Dolphin & Snorkel Adventure Tour
Discover the part of Oahu most visitors never get to see. This is the only boat cruise that will take you along Oahu's west coast all the way up to the island's northernmost tip, the sacred Kaena Point. Here you'll find peace and quiet and see an undeveloped piece of paradise without any buildings, roads and worries. Kaena Point is only accessible by foot or boat. You'll board the Kai 'Oli'Oli at the KoOlina Marina Resort, which lies on Oahu's southwestern coast. From there, you'll cruise 20 miles up and down the coastline, while marveling at pristine beaches, spectacular mountains, crystal clear water and the beauty and splendor of Makua Valley and Ka'ena Point, home to breeding albatrosses.
The water here will amaze you. It is so clear you'll be able to see all the way to the bottom. The animals love this stretch of coastline, too! You'll be able to see dolphins and turtles frolicking in the water. If you're lucky, you might even see flying fish or in winter the majestic Pacific humpback whales.
At Kaena Point, you'll have the chance to get wet. Put on a mask and snorkel (all provided by the crew) and explore the underwater wonders. Snorkel among an abundance of colorful tropical fish and marvel at the spectacular coral reef. |
While still tingling from your snorkeling experience, enjoy a sumptuous lunch buffet of teriyaki chicken or kailua pork sandwiches with all the trimmings, fresh pineapple or let us know ahead of time and we can arrange a special vegetarian meal. Sip on a tropical Mai Tai, a cool beer or any other beverage to your heart's content. Let the cool Hawaiian breeze relax your soul as the Kai 'Oli'Oli makes its way back down the coast to KoOlina Marina. During the cruise, you'll learn about the magical history of Hawaii as the crew enchants you with legends and history of these beautiful islands.
The Boat: The Kai 'Oli'Oli, which means "joy on the ocean", is Hawaii's newest and most state-of-the-art power catamaran in its class. Its exceptional high speed and long range allows this cruise to go where no others go. It features special streamline hulls which cut through water and provide the most stable, fast and efficient vessel in its class. It's also equipped with an integrated autopilot, GRS, radar, fish-finding sonar, hydrophone and complete electronic engine synchronization and control. On board clean and very spacious change rooms and toilets are available for your convenience and comfort. The vessel also features six warm freshwater showers and a spacious cabin with lots of padded seating. |

The Dolphin Adventure Tour was a highlight of our family vacation. We saw humpback whales and schools of dolphins, and snorkeled with fish, My wife and daughter even got nose to nose with a sea turtle. The west coast of Oahu was also a beautiful sight. The food was great; crew was superb and super friendly. It was well worth the cost. Thanks to Captain Buzz and his crew! |

We had such a wonderful day! The weather was beautiful, the sea was extremely calm (and warm for February) and the captain/crew were fantastic! The snorkeling was incredible. Fish everywhere and even a few turtles. Although we didn't see any whales, we did have spinner dolphins join us part of the way back to port. They were so fun. I would not hesitate to book this again. The Ko'olina Harbor is very beautiful. I may even consider booking this boat for a private tour next time around! |
