Group Surf Lessons
Hans Hedemann's team of Lifeguard and CPR trained instructors & safety guides are dedicated to an enriched Hawaiian Surfing experience, provide a great adventure for the Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced Surfer. Offering Lessons in Waikiki (South Shore). This surf lesson will get you up and riding guaranteed!
The surf lesson starts with a land lesson: learn proper paddling technique, turning the surfboard, maneuvering over waves and positioning to stand up and ride your first wave. You will also learn proper water safety and etiquette. In the water you will learn to stand and ride the waves. |

- Group lessons are for 3-4 people (plus instructor) only.
- All equipment provided
- Learn proper paddling technique
- Turning the surfboard
- Maneuvering over waves and positioning to stand up
- Proper water safety and etiquette
- Apply sunscreen to face, arms and backs of legs ONLY.
- Students must be comfortable in the water and able to swim.
Location on Oahu: - Lessons take place at the Park Shore Hotel in Waikiki.
- For safety reasons, must be at least 13 years of age to participate in group lessons. For those 12 and under, private lessons are required.

Free roundtrip transportation is available from designated Waikiki area hotels. If you are staying at a Waikiki hotel and wish to be picked up, please indicate your choice when booking this activity ("Free Roundtrip Transportation" will show up automatically in the reservations section). Directions To Park Shore Hotel:
From Honolulu International Airport: Exit the airport to H-1 east (follow the Honolulu signs). Proceed on H-1 east 1o miles to King St, and take exit 25A. At the second traffic light, turn right onto Kapahulu Ave., going away from the mountains toward the ocean. Follow Kapahulu Ave. for about two miles until you see the Pacific Ocean. The Park Shore is on the right, located across from Waikiki Beach, on the corner of Kalakaua Ave. and Kapahulu Ave.
Free parking is available at the public parking lot on Monsarrat Ave., and reasonably priced metered parking is available at the Honolulu Zoo parking lot across the street on Kapahulu Ave. Due to the popularity of these parking lots, please realize that they may be full and you should leave enough time to find alternative parking. |
