Kamahao Luau
Kamaha`o "The Wondrous Myths of Hawaii” is a creative celebration of the legends originating on the Big Island of Hawaii. Hawaii is steeped in history and lore. It is the home of Pele, the formidable Fire Goddess. And Hawaii is birthplace and home of King Kamehameha I, the great Ali'i (Chief) who is credited with uniting all the Hawaiian Islands.
The Kamaha'o Luau is a colorful presentation of this rich history, bringing to life the legends of long ago.
Discover the ancient and exotic...

Kamahao is laced with many of the aspects visitors may expect at a luau such as the excitement and gracefulness of traditional Hawaiian dance to delicious food prepared by Sheraton Keauhou's talented culinary staff.

Fresh fish and teriyaki New York strip sirloin also compliment the menu. Be sure to leave room for dessert, as you will find plenty of coconut pudding, pineapple upsidedown cake, and guava chiffon cake waiting for you.

Kamahao Luau @ the Sheraton
Reviewer: Jerry (Snoqualmie, WA, USA) July 19, 2008

I would have to say that I enjoyed this luau more than any other I have attended. I especially liked the strong links to Hawaiian folk tales in the dances. The fire dancers were very entertaining with humorous bits in the routine. The main fire dancer was the most skilled I have ever witnessed. The dancers also made eye contact during the show with the audience which does not always happen.
Our family of four paid extra to have wait staff as opposed to standing in the buffet line; it also gave us a closer seat to the stage and was worth the cost. The food was pretty good, and the open bar was nice. Kona Brewery Big Wave for me! |

WAY COOL LUAU
Reviewer: ROD RENFRO (GRAND JUNCTION, CO, USA) May 24, 2008

My wife, daughter, and myself attended the Sheraton luau in mid-April '08. most people I've talked to have described their luau experience as interesting, but commented that the food was nothing to write home about. Our experience was different! The food was great!!! I'm not typically into 'shows', but this one was good. The music was killer. The Sheraton setting lent to a high class tropical setting. The timing and length of everything was just right. We had a wonderful evening. |

I had been to a luau in Honolulu in the past, but I liked this luau better because it had a story to it that we could follow, as well as provided some Hawaiian history. |
