See the best of Maui in one day! Your adventure begins with a short flight on Island Air from Honolulu to Kahului Airport. From there, you'll travel to the summit of the largest dormant volcano on Earth – Mt. Haleakala, which rises 10,023 feet above sea level. Enjoy the breathtaking views of the island and the endless ocean. The moon-like surroundings of the volcano's crater will amaze you. Don't forget to bring a sweater. Even though you're in Hawaii, it can get chilly when you're that high up.
Afterwards, you'll descend to the lush Iao Valley, which is home of the magnificent 1,200-foot Iao Needle stone formation. Next up is the former whaling port of Lahaina. Along the way, you'll see rare plants, vast sugarcane fields and various other natural and historic attractions. Between points, you'll travel in a comfortable, air-conditioned motorcoach with a friendly, knowledgeable driver, who has many stories to tell. |
