Pearl Harbor and Honolulu City Tour
Take a glimpse into world history with a visit to Pearl Harbor. It was a quiet Sunday morning, December 7, 1941, when Hawaii was suddenly put on the world's stage as the Japanese attacked the U.S. Pacific Fleet and took 2,390 lives – most of them aboard the battleship USS Arizona.
A memorial was built atop the wreck to honor those who died there on "the day that will live in infamy.” The structure spans the mid-portion of the sunken ship. From there, you can still see oil bubbling to the surface of the water, a somber reminder of the sacrifices made over 60 years ago. |
On this tour, you'll see footage of the actual Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor and can pay your respect to the servicemen who are buried here. The tour continues with a narrated ride through the Punchbowl National Cemetery of the Pacific and to historical sights in downtown Honolulu, including the Iolani Palace and the King Kamehameha statue.
Note: Security at Pearl Harbor is tight. Don't bring any bags or purses along, but cameras are allowed. Shoes and shirts must be worn. Swimsuits and strollers are not allowed on the naval launch. |

Pearl Harbour Tour
Reviewer: Michael (WA, Australia) September 22, 2008

The tour was very good, and very interesting. Ford, our driver and guide was very informative, and provided us with interesting information on the details surrounding the circumstances of Pearl Harbour. Ford made us feel very welcome when boarding the bus, and gave a running commentary on the way to Pearl Harbour. |
