Three Day PADI Scuba Certification
Get your Open Water Scuba Dive Certification in just three days! Once you complete the course, you'll be recognized worldwide as a PADI-certified diver. All PADI certified divers can be verified at PADI.com and PADI can easily replace your dive card should that be necessary.
All learning materials are included in the tuition, including the textbook, logbook, dive tables, videos and PADI Open Water CDROM. The fee also includes the certification (PADI license card). SCUBA equipment for the certification course includes use of tanks, weights, regulator, buoyancy control device (BCD), and wetsuit. You need to bring your own personal mask, snorkel, and fins (booties and gloves too if you prefer).
The course recommends home study of diving academics which will greatly reduce your classroom time and allow you to complete the course quickly and efficiently. Your study materials will be mailed to you (included in the cost of the course), so you can study at home. Classes are small with a teacher-student ratio of 1:4. Schedules are flexible to your needs: let us know when you are available and we can schedule your classes to fit your needs. Classes do not have to be taken on consecutive days.
On the morning of the first day, you'll meet with your instructor to go through a review of the five chapters in the PADI certification textbook (yes, that was for homework!). Then you'll proceed to the pool, where you can practice skills from the first three modules of the course. The first day is usually from 8AM to ~3PM.
On the second and third days, you'll go out on the ocean for 2 dives each day from the boat. This usually is between noon and 4PM, but meets earlier for west coast dives at 9:45AM. Congratulations - you're a certified diver! |
Some divers also have the option to do a "Fast Track" Open Water Referral Program, which is a 2-day certification course. This is only for those who have already completed their classroom work and "confined water session" (pool time) elsewhere and have had their official divers log book signed by a PADI instructor stating a successful completion of the classroom work. Then only 2 days of boat dives are necessary to complete the course.
Scuba diving is a very safe and relaxing activity when done together with trained professionals. Anyone in good health from 10 years old an up can participate in a scuba diving program and experience the thrill of swimming and breathing underwater.
PADI courses offer the most comprehensive and modern diver training available in the world today. PADI courses are the only scuba courses to be recommended by the American Council on Education for college credit hours.
Divers should keep in mind that they cannot fly within 18 hours of their dive. Full names of guests, shoe size and height and weight information are required.
