Learn the art of windsurf jibing, as taught by Actions Sports Maui’s caring and knowledgeable instructors. They will walk you though the theory of jibing, then build your confidence in the water as they sail next to you. |

Windsurfing Jibing Class
Jibing is one of the toughest techniques to master! Learn the theory and practice of the jibe in easy-to-understand language. In this class, the jibing theory and jibing techniques are broken down into smaller, more manageable steps. You'll learn to master all levels of jibing including stop jibes, step jibes, flare jibes, power jibes, slam jibes, duck jibes, jump jibes and racing "lay-down jibe" techniques.
Your instructors can assess your ability and recommend a specific type of jibe that is best for you. The lesson begins on the beach with some jibing theory and sail transition exercises. Then you're off into the water. Your instructors will sail with you, riding alongside or nearby. This way they can demonstrate the technique and give you on-the-water feedback.
In this lesson you can bring your own equipment or rent one of the beginner's jibing boards and sails that are available. |

Activity Highlights:- Jibing theory and jibing techniques are taught in easy to understand language
- Learn all levels of jibing
- Experienced instructors
- Choose between a 2 hour group lesson or 1.5 hour private lesson
- Group lessons: no more than 4 students per class
- All basic equipment is provided

Directions |

Drive to the Kahului Airport and go past the terminal. When the road curves left, stay in the right lane, then turn right at the "Rental Car Return" sign. Drive all the way through until you reach the "Stop" sign. Turn RIGHT at the Stop sign and drive along Alaho Street. Go all the way until you reach the "Dead End" sign. Turn into the last parking lot, with the green metal sign that says "Kanaha Beach Park." Drive all the way to the back of the lot and look for the Action Sports van. Meet at the van! |
